Rio Oil & Gas Expo and Conference is the leading oil and gas industry event in Latin America and takes place at Riocentro Convention Center in Rio de Janeiro every two years. Since its first edition in 1982, both the exhibition and the conference have contributed to build up Rio de Janeiro’s reputation of being the “Brazilian oil capital”.
Rio Oil & Gas 2012, successfully held from September 17th to 20th in Riocentro, is considered at “historical” by attracting over 4,400 delegates, 1,300 exhibitors and 53,086 visitors from 27 countries other than Brazil. During the event, Brazilian government accounted the upcoming new Brazil Rounds next year which changed the hearts of attendees dramatically providing driving forces for new business opportunities in the Oil & Gas industry. Another hot topic of this year’s Rio Oil & Gas is “Local Content” which is an ever increasing challenge and demand to all companies that want to develop their existing business or enter into the market in Brazil.
By participating in this event, ATI obtained valuable first-hand knowledge of the panoramic picture and new policy trend of the E&P sector in Brazil, strengthened its relationship with the customers and established initial contacts with interested companies seeking for new opportunities in the near future.
